Manchester Terrorist Attack
In the wake of the suicide bomb at Manchester Arena on Monday evening, Canon Pastor Kathryn Fleming of Coventry Cathedral issued this prayer. Some of you may find it useful in these following days ‘Lord you have been our refuge from one generation to another. Be with all who cry out to you today, the weeping, the wounded, the angry, the terrified, and in your mercy receive all the departed into the light of your kingdom, for we ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.’
Thy Kingdom Come 2017
The Archbishop of Canterbury is encouraging Christians of all denominations to #Pledge2Pray as part of global prayer movement Thy Kingdom Come. Last year more than 100,000 people joined with the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to pray in the 10 days between Ascension and Pentecost. This year, even more are expected to join in. Loads of prayers and other resources can be found for individual and group use on the website https://www.thykingdomcome.global/
These notices (plus much more useful and interesting information) are available to read each week on the Chaplaincy website (see above for website address). There is a chaplaincy presence also on facebook. The link is https://www.facebook.com/churchinmidipa/
